Today, we talk about the background music in Dani Garcia’s restaurants. Dani Garcia is one of the most important Andalusian chefs at present, and we have the pleasure to work for him. A restless and creative spirit, with more than 20 years as a chef. He defines himself as an “artisan of flavour.”
Dani García’s Group is a business group composed of three brands: Bibo (with restaurant services in Madrid, Marbella and Tarifa), Lobito de Mar (in Marbella and soon in Madrid) and Dani García *** Restaurante (a Michelin 3 stars restaurant in Marbella). Nowadays, they have five restaurants opened in Spain and in the coming months, he will open some other restaurants in Spain.
Each restaurant has a unique personality as a result of the mixing of the brand and the local culture. When Dani Garcia contacted us, we knew that this would be a very creative process.
We visit his restaurants to understand the environment, the target demographic, the incredible food and his menus. A great experience to see things from a new perspective and understand the complexity of this project to focus on it correctly.

Furthermore, it highlights that every brand has a different gastronomic and music concept, where they mix the chef personality and his musical tastes. Within each brand, there are some different locals between his hometown (Marbella) and Madrid. In this way, each restaurant style is adapted to the place and local culture.

The main challenge was to create a musical strategy adapted to each physical environment. At the same time, it must be managed easily and centralized, so background music should be controlled from one place. We should brand and adapt the musical identity to:

Moreover, each local has three channels depend on the time of day to connect with the client in the best way as possible.

Lobito de Mar
Secondly, Lobito de Mar is an urban beach bar with one traditional restaurant menu where the main character is the food product. Furthermore, the sea is current in the environment decoration and in the dishes. The music concept is popular, urban and international using two different bespoke music concepts.
Restaurant’s soundtracks are fresh and lively and create a friendly atmosphere with excellent classic songs. Nowadays, Lobito de Mar is in Marbella, but it will be open soon a new restaurant in Madrid nearly.

Dani García Restaurante
Finally, Dani García Restaurante is the most personal project of this open-minded chef. The personalized channel is an elegant selection, a mix of great artists with new and classic tracks.
This fantastic kitchen -that is continuously reinventing- will close soon. Anyway, Dani García will open a new restaurant called Steak House by Leña, a new gastronomic concept that is the result of his evolution.
